I decided to head down to the mall today even after I knew it was supposed to rain up an inch today. The weather was dead on and there were also some thunderstorms. As a result, I was only to see a couple bands play at the Green Apple Festival and I did not get to see The Roots or Thievery Corporation. In addition to not getting to see the two groups I wanted to see, I also was wetter than I have ever been in my life while wearing clothes. I was hoping that after awhile I would get used to it, but that was not the case.
I had the good random college type party on Saturday. Not crazy good but it was laid back and perfect for the mood I was in. The highlight was probably discussing how I didnt really think of anything when I thought of Chicago with some guys who were from that area. I mean you get an image in your head when you think of New York and Los Angeles, but Chicago draws a blank. As a result of my feelings we ended up quizzing people as they passed by about what they though about when they heard Chicago. A few people were on my side(like the guy who mentioned the bulls), but most people mentioned things that the Chicagoans brought up(i.e. Architecture).
So it turns out the weekend was more of boring weekend than most, but it was relaxing not to be out until the wee hours and then suffering the next day at work. Hopefully Orrin will have a better weekend to report on.
