Musical Coma

For the past who knows how long I have been in an unfortunate musical coma. I was brought out of this state today by the purchase of M.I.A. Kala. I also purchased Jay-Z American Gangster and listened to it in and was unfortunately under impressed. I had pretty high expectations going into it and was let down with the overall cd. I will say there were some really good songs, but there were also some songs that were just kind of there. Kala came next, and when the first song came on I found myself dancing in my room at noon on Tuesday. After the first song, I was expecting it to sort of settle and be a decent album. I was dead wrong. It kept pounding song after song and I kept dancing and laughing at myself every 15 seconds when I would finally control my body. I listened to it again and it had the same effect as the first time. Now as I get ready for bed, I have to struggle not to play it again because I dont want to keep myself up too late.
